Keep Phyllis Dancing!

We need you to join us to help our beloved friend & dear line dance teacher, Phyllis Gregory. We are Kidney Champions that are joining with Off The List to find a LIVING kidney donor for Phyllis.

In 2008, Phyllis was diagnosed with high blood pressure, one of the leading causes of kidney failure in the United States. Although the decline in her kidney function has been gradual over the last 17 years, it has worsened and she’s now in kidney failure. There are only two treatments for people living with kidney failure: dialysis or transplant.

While Phyllis waits for a transplant, she must do dialysis treatments to stay alive. Each week, she spends 9 hours hooked up to a machine (3 days a week, 3 hours at a time) to filter the toxins out of her blood. Dialysis is hard and limits her quality of life. Phyllis experiences extreme fatigue, low blood pressure, cramping, and weakness.

Throughout this 20-month journey on dialysis, Phyllis has remained positive & committed to living her life, committed to her family, friends & the Line Dance Community. Though dialysis is extremely difficult, Phyllis continues to astound us with her Energizer Bunny attitude.

We are asking for donations in order to help Phyllis with her expenses, as well as provide funds to continue to get the word out through signs, postcards, flyers, etc.
