Hey friends and family,
I really didn’t want to make one of these, (I'm usually the type of person to take my problems head on without public knowledge) but I’m in a tough spot and could use some help.
Since graduating college last month, I’ve been job searching full-time — but being unemployed has made it really hard to keep up with bills, especially my car. It’s currently not drivable and needs a long list of repairs (control arm, CV shaft, brake hose, spark plugs, a tune-up, and a diagnostic for a persistent exhaust code). Right now, the estimate is about $3,000, but it might go up depending on what else they find. On top of that, I’ve fallen behind on my loan payments while trying to stay afloat.
My husband has taken on all of our bills and the car situation is the perfect cherry on top of our quarter life crisis sundae. Right now, Instacart is my only source of income and I obviously can’t do that if I don’t have a working car. This car is my LIFELINE — I need it to get to interviews, take jobs once I land one, and just keep moving forward.
I’m setting my goal at $5,000 to cover the repairs, missed payments, and any unexpected costs that pop up. If you’re able to chip in anything at all, I’d be incredibly grateful. And if not, just sharing this would mean a lot to me too.
Thanks so much for reading and supporting us during this rough phase in my life — it seriously means everything right now.
