My name is Alan and I am the father of 5 amazing kids. We recently moved into a safer and better area in hope of improving our children's lives. Our current apartment has had on going mold issues that have effected our whole family. We live pay check to paycheck and struggle under good circumstances. We knew that a move would benefit all of us, especially the kids. We also knew it would put a strain on our finces. It took months of hard work but we pulled together everything we had and were able to come up with money for move in costs at an apartment. That did not leave much money for the actual move. That is how we find ourselves in a bad spot at the moment. My wife and I both work full time and Grandma helps with getting the little ones ready for school and helps after school. So in addition to us still trying to clean out the old place we are now short the money for October rent and risk losing the safe new home that our kids are easily adapting to. Our oldest child actually enjoys school now. Our financial forecast for October looks really good. We are both hourly employees approaching the busy season. So our long term finances give us hope. We just need to get October rent paid and we will be okay. I am stressed, my wife is stressed and mean while our kids are arranging their bedrooms and playing.
