Robin and Jeff became homeless after mom passed away several years ago. They tried but could not make it and came to live with me 18 months ago. My sisters disability struggles became very real. While Jeff helped her with medical issues, I took on financial for all of us. Soon I had an electric bill of $2000, in Nov 2024 and our only heat source.

Hard choices came and they were going to shut it off. I tried to get help, It never came through. Insurance, food stamps, utility assistance and disability SSI can be hard to navigate. Over the past 6 months, hard decisions forced neglect on the house payment. Now we are facing foreclosure. My payments are lower than rent.

With two of us now on SSI, we couldn't afford renting, however with your help in stopping the foreclosure, we will be able maintain our monthly house payments. I am praying a few kind people will help me get caught back up and pay off the past due amount. I have worked so hard; it would break my heart to lose my home over the small amount of 3600 dollars (now with current donations, just over $2600 to catch up.)
