A few years ago, my husband went home to be with the Lord, and our world changed forever. Since then, I’ve worked hard to keep our family afloat—while facing the heavy weight of grief, his medical bills, my own ongoing medical expenses, and constant home and car repairs.

My daughters have stepped up in incredible ways, even while pursuing their education. One began painting when her dad got sick to cope with the pain and turned it into a way to help support our family.
