Keep our frontline heroes safe during COVID-19!

Healthcare workers around the world are experiencing shortages of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and are asked to re-use and ration disposable masks and other protective gear.
Oakwynite Vivian Yu along with the Oakwyn community is hoping to help Vancouver healthcare workers get ahead of the curve and make sure our doctors and nurses are properly equipped to continue to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. With your support, we are hoping to raise enough funds to safely & properly get at least 5,000 disposable surgical masks & hand sanitizers to help protect those who are protecting us.
Currently, we are looking to source disposable surgical masks and hand sanitizers from overseas in such a way that local supplies are not being diverted from Canadians. We are also continuously working to find suppliers that meet the quality standards guidelines, and welcome your ideas on how to provide additional support to meet the needs of our frontline workers in this emergency situation.
All funds raised in this campaign will be directed to the cause of keeping our healthcare workers safe during COVID-19. At the conclusion of this fundraising campaign and after we've passed the critical phase of this pandemic, we will report all relevant financial affairs accurately and completely to campaign donors.

I am happy to share our fundraising results with you!
After more than 3 months of planning, 50 generous donors, and a whopping $3,583, we have received over 7000 N95 and 3-ply masks for our frontline healthcare workers as well as our society's most vulnerable!
We ended up being able to donate to 12 different hospitals, care facilities, institutions and groups.
I am incredibly proud of us :) Thank you kindly for your support!
