Keep Our Fiber Arts Community Thriving

I need your help to survive. This year has been incredibly hard for so many. It's very hard for me to share this. To ask our community to support us, when there are others needing help, but here we are. I need funds to help pay our rent. I've finally found a space where we can grow, where we can share space with each other and build our community, and I fear we may have to close our doors. Any amount raised will go exclusively towards helping pay rent for the rest of the year.

We've been unable to establish any type of permanent signage because of planned construction along College Ave. Now that that construction has started, we've seen a large decrease in sales. Due to events beyond my control, my savings is depleted and I have no income to help us when we fall short. I have tried to find grants and loans that the shop can qualify for and had no luck. I have no other option than to call on my community for help.

About us:

As a small business owner, I wanted to create a place where you can learn about where your fiber comes from; help build sustainability and support for the local fiber economy. We strive to build relationships with the people who grow our fiber and who we source our materials from because it matters who we work with and the community we build.

Almost all of our yarns and fibers are made, milled, and dyed in the US. We will occasionally carry a line of specialty fibers that are not grown in the US as a featured item, usually hand dyed by Black or Indigenous Dyers. We work with small batch fiber farms and mills to source our yarns, focusing on revitalizing heritage craft producers.

We regularly hold drives for donated goods, fundraisers for local charities, and work within our community to support and uplift marginalized folx. We support half a dozen fiber art clubs and afterschool programs, and filter supplies back into our community.
