On the morning of March 24, 2026, our father was taken in by our local police department and was unfortunately on ICE hold. It has caused us so much emotional turmoil, and it felt like a part of our daily routine had suddenly stopped. Despite taking out a loan to seek legal advice and prevent our father from being deported, he was unfortunately sent to Mexico and left six of us behind.
Since then, our family of seven was torn apart, and we were struck with the burden of financial stress. Our father was the sole provider of the house and he took care of everything — food, utilities, a roof our heads, and our happiness. We have been trudging along and trying to balance school, work, paying bills, and figuring out how to go from here on out. We tried to withhold from getting help, however now we owe $5,000+ on our mortgage and face the potential risk of eviction. Although my sisters and I work, we do not make enough to pay the mortgage and we simply do not have the means to afford this due to the rising cost of living.
We are truly seeking help to pay off what we owe, and this will lift our burden of potentially losing the house we have grown up and lived in for over twenty years. All seven of us and our three pets, will forever show gratitude for whoever shares our story and for whoever donates.
