Help Support Amy Fiederowicz – A Community Champion in Need

Amy Fiederowicz has spent years dedicating her time and energy to helping others, ensuring that families facing food insecurity have access to what they need. Now, it’s our turn to support her.

We are raising funds to provide Amy with specialized crutches designed for individuals with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (a connective tissue disorder) and a lightweight, portable scooter to improve her mobility. These essential tools will greatly enhance her quality of life, allowing her to continue doing what she loves—serving her community.

About Amy

Amy was born and raised in Tigard, Oregon. She ventured back east for college and spent time living in Connecticut before returning home to Oregon with her husband, Michael, and their two children, Mya (17) and Connor (19).

Amy’s health journey has been incredibly challenging. In 2010, she was diagnosed with a meningioma brain tumor, which led to brain surgery in 2013. Since then, she has faced multiple medical conditions, including:

Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (diagnosed in 2013) – a disorder affecting connective tissues, leading to chronic pain and mobility issues.
Fibromyalgia (diagnosed in 2011) – causing widespread pain and fatigue.
Status Migrainosus (diagnosed after brain surgery) – a persistent migraine condition that never fully resolves.
Despite these significant health struggles, Amy has remained committed to helping others.

A Legacy of Giving

Amy’s passion for serving her community led her to start The Tigard Grange Community Food Project in 2015. What began as a small effort to distribute extra food to friends and neighbors has since grown into a vital resource for many in need. She has also been actively involved in local food programs, including the Backpack Program, ensuring that children in schools don’t go hungry.

How You Can Help

Amy has given so much to others—now she needs our support. Your donation will go toward:
✅ Specialized crutches designed to help those with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome.
✅ A lightweight, portable scooter to improve her mobility and independence.
✅ Any funds over the initial goal will be for medical bills including much needed chiropractic care.

Let’s come together and show Amy the same kindness and generosity she has always shown to others. Every donation, big or small, makes a difference.

Thank you for your support! ❤️

About the fundraiser: I'm Amy C and I'm raising $$$ to help the founder of the Tigard Grange Community Food Project, Amy Fiederowicz. I have volunteered at the Food Project with Amy F. for more than four years. Her project was essential during the Covid crisis and is still essential now with inflation. Amy's vision and endless work feeds so many families in the metro Portland, Oregon area, especially in Washington County (Tigard, Beaverton, etc).

Amy has faced many medical challenges and her condition now requires supportive medical equipment so she can continue her mission to feed community.

In my 62 years of life, I have NEVER MET anyone as hard working and devoted to directly helping community as Amy Fiederowicz. Please help us keep this heroic woman healthy, strong and mobile.
