Keep Old Adobe Preschool Open

Continue raising funds that will support us in nourishing Old Adobe throughout the year.

Dear OAS Families,

We are beyond happy and relieved to report that today we have received a donation from an extremely generous family in our community which is large enough to enable us to keep the school open. The board meeting will go ahead as planned on Monday, and more information will be available after that, but right now it's important you all know we are NOT closing!

That being said, we still need to keep the fundraising going! So, please continue to spread the word and keep the "Sonoma Strong" love alive.

It has been an emotional rollercoaster these last couple weeks to say the least, so thank you for all your support and for hanging in there with us. We are confident that Old Adobe School will not only survive but thrive moving forward. Please stay tuned for more updates soon...

Hi, my name is Mitzi and my daughter goes to Old Adobe Preschool. I'm raising money to benefit Old Adobe School, and any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause which means so much to me. I am reaching out to other parents who would love to support the fundraiser; feel free to connect through this platform or email the board directly.

Our goal is to raise $40,000 in one week.

Yes, this is a meaningful ask. The $40,000 is to pay back rent, back payroll taxes, and teachers' salaries through Jan. 26th. With this request, all donations will be accepted as work towards staying open. More importantly, it will give us the momentum to continue providing a safe and consistent space for our little ones here in Sonoma.

Old Adobe currently finds itself in search of 5-6 members for the Board of Directors and a new site director. We have gone through a lot of transitions throughout the years after COVID but we have remained glued together as a community of families with our kids in mind. We got urgent news that the school would have to close down due to this financial situation, with this news coming very soon after learning the most recent director had to leave for family/personal reasons.

I have full faith that we can accomplish this meaningful goal with the support of our families, our friends, and our Sonoma community.
