Keep Nunu Yoga Alive
Hello!
My name is Dani, founding yogi of Nunu Yoga + Meditation studio.
Nunu is a community yoga and meditation studio in the southern Sydney suburb of Engadine. Nunu is a safe-haven for people to relax and feel at ease, a home away from home and a space where people can connect with others in a way that is loving, supportive and true.
We believe in the equality of all people and the importance of interconnectedness, and that Nunu is a vital part of the new world that is emerging. One where people have places to go that are loving, safe and return them to themselves.
Due to COVID-19, Nunu is closing it’s doors to protect the health and safety of all its members and their community and families. We see our space as essential to both the physical and mental health of our members and all people we serve, but the reality is that Nunu is unlikely to stay afloat during these uncertain times while overheads including rent, utilities and bills continue, and classes cannot.
We understand the seriousness of this situation and above all else, care that our members and everyone in the broader community stay healthy, safe and well. Our dream is to keep Nunu well, too, so that we can support you all through this time of uncertainty, be a grounding force amidst so much collective fear, and be part of the healing process now but most importantly ongoing.
Being a new business, we unfortunately may not have the savings to stay afloat, should forced closures continue long-term. We are all enduring hardship at this time and that makes this a very difficult ask.
As Nunu's head yogi, it would be my dream to keep providing you all unlimited yoga, indefinitely, but it simply won't be possible without financial support. It is uncomfortable, vulnerable, and not in my nature to put my hand up for help like this.
However, if you can, I would appreciate any donation big or small, so that we can keep our sacred community space alive and give back to those who will need our service more than ever. Our intention is to be part of the collective healing that will need to take place, to offer the highest-quality of practice to you all, and to give back in the same way that we have received.
We will be open and transparent with how these funds will be spent and I am available to answer any and all questions about this, and our plans going forward and how we will keep Nunu serving the community.
