Hi, my name is Nora. I'm the parent of 3 kids, 5 cats, and 3 dogs. This year has been really hard for my family. With everything going up in price, we are struggling with everyday living, from food to housing and bills.

My husband and I have been trying to stay above all this but haven't been able to. He has been trying his best to find another good, stable job since he lost his back in December. I also have been working full-time and doing DoorDash in my spare time, but it's not enough.

Our landlord had been kind enough to not evict us. We have been making payments but not enough to be up to date. Today, he finally had enough. He has always been really kind, but kindness can only go so far, especially if you have bills to pay. Today, he served us with an eviction letter. He told us we need to pay what we owe in full ASAP before they set up a court date, which will be in several days to a couple of weeks, plus 2 months of rent as assurance or vacate the house before July 31st. Both scenarios are really bad for me because I don't have the funds to do either.

We have tried to contact rental assistance for several months before this happened, but they don't have any funds, same with utilities. I can't ask for loans anymore since I already have several loans to try to help, and now my credit is trash. I haven't been able to pay my car either, and I can't have that repossessed since it's my way of transportation and work. I really need help.
