After a terrible scare when our last fundraising appeal had majorlly stalled with £1,300 still needed to pay off Cleo's vet bill. I had to make the heartbreaking decision it was time to close our Rescue doors after 7 1/2 years of rescuing 100's of cats and kittens.
There simply was no choice. How could we keep taking cats in if we couldn't even pay off our current bill
Then our supporters rallied, we successfully raised enough to pay Cleo's bill with a bit left over.
Words of support flooded in. What would happen to the cats and kittens in the area if yet another Rescue had to close?
This year we won't be running a Christmas Appeal, we're starting our Appeal now to be able to stay open.
We need to build a little nest egg so that if in the future out vet bill appeals falter, we have a back up plan.
With the cold months ahead, our heating bill will shoot up.
With my business committed to renovations and maintenance we can sadly no longer commit to covering the Rescue's electricity bills for now.
If you can spare a £1 or 2 please help keep our little rescue open. There are already not enough rescues in the area to alleviate the current feral, abandoned and surrendered cat crisis. We have to stay open!
