My name is Tina, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my cousin, Nicole Bui, whose family is facing an urgent and heart-wrenching crisis. Her husband, NiMan Liu, is at risk of deportation, and we are seeking your support to cover the legal costs necessary to keep him home where he is needed.

NiMan came to the U.S. as an infant, just 2 months old, with legal permanent residency. In his teenage years, he made a mistake that led to a criminal offense. While NiMan served his time, his status as a stateless individual allowed him to remain in the U.S. under a deportation order. Despite his past, he has spent the years since working tirelessly to rebuild his life, becoming a law-abiding, contributing member of his community. NiMan is a dedicated father, a loving husband, and a caring son and brother, always putting his family’s well-being first.

Yet, despite his profound growth and redemption, that single past mistake is now threatening to tear his family apart due to new policies under the current administration.

NiMan is not only a devoted husband, but also the father of a child with special needs. His young son, who is both autistic and nonverbal, relies on NiMan for both emotional and practical support. NiMan’s role in their home is irreplaceable—he provides stability, love, and care, all of which are essential for his son’s daily well-being.

Nicole depends on him both emotionally and financially, as NiMan is the primary provider for their family. If he were to be deported, it would not only separate a family but leave a vulnerable child without his father’s critical support.
