Keep Neyo in School: Fund His Future

Hi, my name is Nehemiah “Neyo” Scott. I just turned 18, and today I’m reaching out with my whole heart to ask for your help.

I’m a student at Clark Atlanta University — a place that has truly changed my life. Being here has pushed me to grow, dream bigger, and become the person I know I’m meant to be. But right now, I’m at risk of losing it all.

The truth is, college hasn’t been easy. I come from humble beginnings, and just getting here took everything — prayers, sacrifices, late nights, and a lot of faith. I’ve worked hard every single day to build a better future, and I stay focused because I know my purpose is bigger than me.

Right now, I’ve hit a wall. Financially, I’m facing a serious challenge. If I don’t raise enough to cover the balance on my student account by July 15th, I won’t be able to stay enrolled. I could lose my place here — my home, my opportunities, and the community I love so much.

Let me share what I’ve been blessed to do at Clark Atlanta so far:

  • I serve as Vice President of the Think Safe Ambassadors, working to promote mental health, safety, and support for students who feel unseen — because I know what it’s like to feel invisible.

  • I was chosen as Mr. Orientation Guide for the upcoming year, helping new students feel welcomed and supported from day one.

  • I volunteer as Team Manager for the Women’s Track & Field Team, and this year I’ll officially manage the Women’s Cross Country and Track teams.

  • I’m a scholarship athlete on the Men’s Cross Country Team and a proud member of the Men of CAU, a brotherhood dedicated to leadership, growth, and service.

I don’t share this to brag — I share this because it shows how much I care. I show up for my campus, my peers, and my purpose. I’ve done everything in my power to make my dream a reality. Now, I just need a little help to keep going.

If you can give — whether it’s $5, $10, $20 — every single dollar brings me closer to staying in school and continuing to pour into the community that has given me so much. And if you can’t donate, just sharing my story would mean the world.

This is bigger than tuition. It’s about fighting for a dream. It’s about not giving up when you’re this close to changing everything.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for reading, for seeing me, and for believing in my future.

With gratitude and love,
Nehemiah “Neyo” Scott
