Urgent: help my family to evacuate from Gaza
Donation protected
Salam,
I am Maysa, a Palestinian residing in Gaza City. The lives of my family and I were upended when we were forced to evacuate our homes due to war – 3 times since the start when we were forced to evacuate from our home in the North of Gaza to Nuseirat in the South, until we were forced to relocate again, this time to Khan Younus, only to be forced again to relocate. At the time of this writing, my family has found aboard after much searching in a small space in Rafah in Gaza – which too, is continuously bombarded.

My husband and I along with our 18-month-old baby suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) were allowed to exit Raffah to Egypt in late November. However, 10 members of my immediate family remain. Desperately trying to find an exit to safety. To no avail until this date.
Meanwhile, my father and mother, grappling with chronic illnesses, are now without the essential medications they need. The situation is further compounded by my sister's urgent need for gallbladder surgery, which initially was scheduled for the first week of December. She is enduring severe pain, making it impossible for her to consume food, she was following a specialized dietary requirement till the surgery time. Add to these challenges, my sister, who was pursuing a promising path in information technology, specializing in multimedia with aspirations of becoming a UX UI designer, now faces an unforeseen future as her university is destroyed by the bombings.
Tragically, even the youngest members of our family—my nephew and nieces—are grappling with both psychological and physical health issues. Symptoms include diarrhea, vomiting, involuntary urination, and unexplained episodes of random screaming.

Unfortunately, for exiting Gaza, the only viable option for individuals holding a Palestinian passport without dual citizenship such as my family is to resort to special coordination, a costly endeavor ranging between 7000 USD to 10,000 USD per person. This financial burden is particularly challenging as I have 10 family members stranded in Gaza, each facing the harshness of their circumstances. I appeal for USD 75,000
• USD 70,000 to facilitate the safe departure of 7 adults and 3 children from Gaza to Egypt.
• $2,500 is requested for the family's basic needs upon settling in Egypt.
• $2,500 is allocated for fees associated with the GoFundMe campaign.
which in total makes around CAD 100,000
I share these heartbreaking details to convey the urgency and gravity of our situation with the hope that your understanding and compassion may inspire financial support for my family in these incredibly tough times. Your kindness can make a profound difference in alleviating their suffering and helping us rebuild our shattered lives.
I humbly seek your financial support to facilitate the evacuation of my family from Gaza. They deserve the right to live in safety and peace.
Thank you for considering our plea and for being a source of hope in our challenging times.
