DJ’s MS fund and financial situation

Dear friends,

I'm DJ, and I'm reaching out to you with a heavy heart and a plea for help. My two dogs and I are in dire need of assistance to secure housing and cover basic expenses.

Living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) has been an uphill battle for me, and unfortunately, my condition has progressed to the point where I can no longer work. The looming threat of homelessness hangs over us, and I'm desperate to keep a roof over our heads and ensure our well-being.

I've hesitated to share my story with many, but I've come to realize that accepting help is not a sign of weakness but a necessity in times of need. Despite applying for disability benefits, the process is slow and uncertain. Meanwhile, the bills continue to mount, and I'm struggling to make ends meet.

Ten years ago, after my diagnosis, I managed to find jobs that accommodated my condition. However, as the disease has progressed, my ability to work has dwindled. Simple tasks like walking, standing, or lifting are now beyond my physical capabilities. Even remote work has become impossible due to extreme fatigue, vision impairment, and constant pain.

But beyond the financial strain, there's another factor weighing heavily on my mind: my dogs. They're not just pets; they're my family. They've been by my side through every trial and tribulation, offering unwavering loyalty and companionship. I can't imagine facing this difficult journey without them.

I'm at a loss for options, and without your support, my dogs and I face the grim reality of eviction. The disability application process is lengthy, and during this waiting period, I'm unable to secure employment. We have nowhere else to turn, and we're pleading for your generosity to help us through this difficult time.
