Keep Mr. Gilliam Warm and Safe

Hello,

We are raising money on behalf of Mr. Niles Gilliam (74 years old), who is from Texas and ended up in North Carolina. He does not have any supports in the area and is presently unsheltered. Mr. Gilliam has previously been living in his vehicle that was broken down in a local parking lot. His car battery was dead therefore he had no access to heating/air. This was all during the cold days that we have recently experienced in our area. He had days in which he went without food/water. Mr. Gilliam was not connected to a medical provider and did not have any clothing. We have been working on obtaining basic need items for Mr. Gilliam. We are steadily working on obtaining a secure placement for Mr. Gilliam though as of now he has been staying at a local hotel due to the generosity of several community members. As we continue to identify a long-term plan for Mr. Gilliam, we are asking for any assistance that you can provide so that we can keep him in a warm/safe environment. We are hopeful that placement can be obtained quickly though it is a process. Your assistance would also be utilized to purchase hygiene products, food/water, and any other emergent needs that Mr. Gilliam has. We truly appreciate any assistance no matter how small and are moved by the generosity of those in our community.
