Keep Moonshine 152.0 Alive!!!

It's FINALLY happened!! After a couple soul-crushing months away from everyone, Moonshine 152 has been blessed enough to reopen after closing temporarily due to the Covid-19 crisis.  Chef/owner Asia Mei couldn't be more thrilled to be able to continue to head everyone's favorite team and welcome back the Southie community and Boston restaurant industry to our home and neighborhood hub. 

However, this is just the beginning. While it was a huge feat and incredibly difficult to rehaul all resources and get the doors open again,  the short and long term future are still uncertain--to say the least.

After celebrating the monumental 5th anniversary of the restaurant, the crippling closure in March devastated the entire crew.  The returning staff is so thankful and grateful to kickoff Phase 2 in Boston, but the severe limitations on indoor/outdoor seating and bar-centric delivery make the future bleak.  The truth is that for small neighborhood restaurants, the battle has just begun.

In this "new normal", the only guarantee for small businesses, especially those in the food industry, is how hard it will be to continue operations.  While we absolutely appreciate being open again, and will be taking every effort to adapt and lead with the times, overhead and industry financials stack all odds against us.

The team you have all grown to love and need feel exactly the same way, and would appreciate the chance to continue moving onwards and upwards with the community.  What was literally voted Boston's "Best Hidden Gem", "Best Neighborhood Restaurant", and "Best Eclectic Restaurant" will cease to exist for everyone without support.

We hope to see and feed every one of you soon, and appreciate EVERYTHING!!  We are stronger together, and if anyone can figure out how to stay in the game, it's us.
