Keep Mitravindā Dāsī Breathing

Meet Lani Singh, also known as Mitravindā Dāsī — a “sheptovert” (someone who prefers the company of German shepherds over humans), and a retired, disabled U.S. veteran living a humble, off-grid life in rural New Mexico.

Due to an outdated solar power system, Mitra has been without electricity at night for over a year — which means she’s also been without her oxygen machine. This isn’t just an inconvenience — it’s a serious health risk.

As her new caretaker, I’ve launched this campaign to raise the funds needed to upgrade her solar energy system. Her income doesn’t cover the cost of this improvement which is essential for her household to thrive. With your help, we can make sure that Mitra and her furry companions have reliable power through the night — especially before the cold winter months arrive. A robust restoration would even power her already-installed central heating system.
