I've got different kinds of expenses these days. The only thing in common: I need your help paying for them.

1) HEARING AIDS. Yep, my concert-going past has apparently caught up w/me, or there's some other cause. My issue isn't volume but distortion, so I need real hearing aids, not just earbuds connected to a smartphone. The cost: About $1,000 after my chintzy insurance.

2) LEGAL BILLS. These have to do with the title to the house co-owned by me and my Parkinson's-afflicted brother (who has his own GoFundMe going on, at https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-todd-stay-his-childhood-home). The house is the only asset that can be sold to ensure his continued care, should he be willing to leave it. The cost: About $500.
