Today, I met a kid named Mikey.
He explained to me that he has been out on the streets for days, on a wait list for HALO (the shelter in Racine CO) they are not taking people in due to COVID 19.
He explained to me he is terrified of being arrested, and exhausted from having no place to shower or rest. I know HALO has been placing people in hotels but apparently there are not enough vouchers for everyone, so some people get left behind.
Mikey got left behind.
Mikey deserves some rest, and a shower.
Please if you can find it in your heart to donate, I want to help him with a hotel, and some food.
My co workers and I are working on other resources for him as we speak too.
