Help Markece Jordan continue his Azusa Pacific Univ. Journey

Hello, my name is Tasha and I am writing about this amazing young person named Markece Jordan, who is a second-year student at Azusa Pacific University in Azusa, California. Markece never grew up with his parents but was raised by his great-grandmother, who did the best she could to financially support him all of his life. But as of now, with her older age of retirement and her health not being the best, there is no additional financial support available for college.

Due to no being financially able to fund the remaining balance for spring 2024 the school knowingly decided to allow Markece to register for fall 2024 and live on campus but sadly a week after the classes were dropped and the housing is being removed September 21, 2024 unless the past due balance is paid.

Markece has always had a dream of attending the school of the arts for film and obtaining a degree. So naturally, during his high school years, he got really great grades and finished senior year with a coveted 4.0 GPA. He got accepted right away to the school of his choice and last fall went to APU as a freshman.

Upon learning of his acceptance last summer 2023, Markece was awarded certain scholarships as well as Pell Grant, Cal Grant B, and the Subsidized and Unsubsidized loans via the Department of Education. But unfortunately, it was not enough. Due to the school's Federal Work-Study program, the fall semester was covered. But when it came time for spring, everything we had through the financial aid office was not enough, and Markece was stuck with a past due balance of $5,000.00.

Markece began applying for scholarships and various financial institutions for private student loans, but sadly, there needs to be a cosigner, and to no avail, there is no one with the proper credit history to make this happen.
