Mark was diagnosed with esophageal cancer. Which explains why eating was so painful. He has been unable to work a 40-hour week this month. Dr. appointments and being sick have restricted him. His boss took him the schedule because he is a liability. Last week he had a minor stroke. Every day it gets harder and harder for him to swallow and eat regular foods. He is living off soup and protein drinks. The weight loss has made him weak. He will start Radiation treatment in a few weeks. The Veterans Hospital is assisting with programs foe vets in time of need. But these dont happen overnight. Our rent is due and I cannot cover the full amount on the salary I make. I have to miss work as well to be there for appointments and procedures, and recovery. We are going to be evicted from our home of 5 years.
