Marin Fencing Academy has been part of the San Rafael community for nearly 15 years, offering fencing classes in foil, epee, and sabre for everyone aged 4 and up. Over the years, thousands have come through our doors—some to compete, others just to try something new—and many have taken the lessons learned here into other parts of their lives.

As we head into summer 2025, we've seen more members than usual planning to pause their memberships. While we fully support folks taking time off, this does mean a temporary dip in our revenue. Our expenses—rent, utilities, and staff pay—stay the same, regardless of attendance.

We're reaching out to our community to help us bridge this seasonal gap and prepare for a strong fall season, potentially with additional coaching staff. Your support will help us keep the lights on, maintain our facilities, and continue providing quality training during these lean months.

We also want to share that, over the past two years, we've managed to operate without relying on fundraising efforts. This summer's unique challenges have prompted us to seek community support to ensure we continue to thrive.
