Hi everyone! My name is Mariangela Meneses, and I just turned 20 years old. I’m currently a Junior in college majoring in Exercise Science, while also playing Soccer.

Since I was a little kid, I always had one dream: play college soccer and get a degree. Thanks to God, and my parents and sister’s effort, I was able to start that dream. Unfortunately, we all know life gets hard sometimes, and this is one of those moments.

I’ve always been passionate about everything I do. Even though soccer is my life, and what I want to pursue after college, school has also been one of my main priorities. My parents always taught me that school and soccer should always go together, so I can have a better future, and that’s what I’m trying to do.

During my time here in the United States, I’ve accomplished so many things, both academically and athletically. I graduated Summa Cum Laude from High School with a 4.3 GPA. I was also blessed with the opportunity to play in the Florida All-Star soccer game. My years in college have also been great. I was a starter for my team my Freshman year, but I couldn’t play my second year due to a season-ending injury. I transferred to a new school this last season, and it made up for that after me and my team won the Conference championship and went to nationals.

This just shows a little bit of who I am, and what I’ve done. This hasn’t been an easy year for me and my family, but me finishing my studies, while being able to perform at soccer is what keeps us going. My parents have worked really hard in every aspect to get me here where I am today, so any help would be really appreciated, that way I can continue my dream.

Each donation, no matter the amount, means one step closer for me to finish my studies and college soccer career. The donations would strictly cover the balance that I owe for the Spring Semester (10685), which would cover room and board, and other fees.
