April 16 1977 changed my life forever when I went with my church youth group to Hurricane Ridge to play in the snow.
I rented an Inner tube and sled down a slope landing in-between two trees that saved my life. This left me paralyzed from the waist down. After 6 months in Children's Orthopedic Hospital I was able to come home and learn to live a new life from a wheelchair. God has done miracle after miracle in my life. He has been so faithful. I began to watch Him work All things together for good as He had promised me from Romans 8:28 as I had learned from my Sunday school teacher when I was 6. He provided a place for me to live and paid all my medical bills. He brought Brad into my life and blessed us with Autumn & Aaron. He has been my strength pushing my wheelchair 43 years. I have enjoyed life to the fullest and am so thankful for all the activities I have been able to experience I am now in a new chapter in my life as my shoulders and hands can no longer propel my manual wheelchair. I have learned so much the last 1.5 being in bed due to pressure sores from all the transfers and sedative life. I have never experienced such deep pain before. I cried out to God and he brought help from wonderful wound care nurses and caregivers and therapist to my home who have helped heal my sores and make changes for the new chapter in my life that includes a Power Rehab wheelchair that will enable me to tilt back to relieve pressure on my skin and elevate my legs to help with my circulation. The basic Insurance will not cover the complete cost of my new chair so I am reaching out to you to see if you are able to help me reach my goal of $50,000 to cover the cost of the Rehab Power Chair and Wheelchair Van to transport me. My faithful Red Ford Van I have had the last 21 years is tired and the lift is unable to support the weight of me in the rehab chair. My goal is to be able to be able to drive from my Rehab chair in order to avoid transferring in order to allow my shoulders to heal.
I have been so blessed with so many people who God has brought into my all over all these years that have help me to come this far and I am so looking forward to what He has planned ahead for me until He calls me home to Heaven.
Thank you ALL for your love and support/ I am eternally grateful.
God is more than able.
To the glory of God.
