Please Help an Army Veteran’s Family Stay in Their Home After Losing Their Matriarch

Hi everyone,

We’re reaching out with heavy hearts to ask for your support for the family of Mike Mongeon — a proud Vietnam veteran — who’s beloved wife, Linda Mongeon joined him in heaven on June 5, 2025.

Over the last year, their daughter Roxanne left her job to become a full-time caregiver for Linda, who was battling late-stage dementia. Roxanne’s decision to be a full time caregiver allowed her Mother to remain in the home she loved, surrounded by comfort and family. Sadly, Linda passed away far sooner than expected, leaving the family grieving and facing financial hardship.

Mike and Linda built a life of service, love, and sacrifice. Their home was the center of family life for over 45 years. But in 2021, a toxic mold infestation severely damaged the house, wiping out their savings and forcing costly repairs just to make it livable again.

With Linda’s passing, Roxanne and her family have inherited the family home — along with the debt and financial strain that came from years of medical care and emergency repairs. Through it all, Roxanne has been raising her daughter Dakota and doing everything she can to hold things together.

Now, they’re at a critical point. We’re hoping to rally support from our community — especially those who honor veterans and the families who support them — to help Roxanne keep the family home and continue raising her daughter in the same house where generations before her were loved and cared for.

• Living costs while Roxanne transitions back to work
