Keep Laura's Memory Alive

It has taken me along time to be able to post anything, I just didn't want to accept this. My dear friend, Laura, suddenly passed away on July 11th, 2021. She is going to be missed by so many people, she was loved dearly. Laura cared so much about her friends and family, she was always concerned about how everyone she loved was feeling or how they were doing. There will be a hole in our hearts forever, life will never be the same. I have started this Go Fund Me as a way to raise money in Laura's name to donate to a charity that holds a special place in the hearts of her family. It will be a way for all of us to honor her memory.

Foundry offers health and wellness services, supports and resources for young people ages 12-24 and their families/caregivers through centres in communities across BC, and online. Foundry’s approach is different because all services are under one roof, so it makes it easy to know where to go for support. The services are made to fit the individual needs of young people and their families/caregivers, putting their health and wellness at the heart of our work. Foundry focuses on early intervention, and 5 core service areas, bringing mental health, substance use, peer support, primary care (medical) and social services together in a single place. Foundry makes it easier for young people to find the care, connection and support they need.

Since April 2018, the eight Foundry centres have served well over 10,000 young people across BC.

Encompass Support Services was chosen as the lead agency to bring integrated mental health, substance use, primary care, youth and family peer supports, and social services to the communities of Langley.

Foundry Langley is currently under development.
