Keep Lakeside Swim Club Open This Summer!

Hi, my name is Anastasia, but most people know me as Coach Chia. I’ve had the privilege of serving as the head coach of the Lakeside Gator summer swim team for the past 5 years. I’m starting this GoFundMe because our pool is in urgent need of critical repairs (replace pool pump, replace heating/cooling systems, bathroom renovations, and more) Without these repairs, Lakeside Swim Club may not be able to open this summer, and we’ll lose the opportunity to provide a safe, affordable, and essential space for our community.

For over 60 years, Lakeside Swim Club has been more than just a pool—it’s been a place where families gather, kids learn to swim, and lifelong memories are made. Generations of swimmers have started their swim journeys here, with many going on to join year-round or collegiate swim teams, become lifeguards, or simply carry a love for the water into their adult lives.

Each summer, hundreds of families call Lakeside their home away from home. Whether it’s swim lessons, summer camps, or simply cooling off on a hot day, this pool has been at the heart of our community. It’s also where over 200 children learn water safety in the form of swim lessons each year, summer swim team members improve their skills each year, and where dozens of lifeguards earn their certifications to keep our community safe.

Unfortunately, our pool pump recently broke along with the other repairs that remained after last swim season. However, we have remained hopeful. We’re asking for your help to raise $50,000 so we can keep Lakeside Swim Club open and thriving!

We know it is still cold, but summer is right around the corner. We need all donations by March 1 to ensure the pool is ready to open by May.
