Lloyd Lacy Jr. (known as "Lacy") has been cutting hair for over fifty years. His godfather bought Furlough's Tonsorial Parlor back in 1952, and Lacy took over the business in 2010. He has served the Lakeview (also known as OMI) neighborhood for decades as a barber, small business owner, and community member. His longstanding dream is to open a barber college where he can teach the next generation.
As a small business owner in San Francisco, Lacy has survived the pandemic, loss of neighborhood foot traffic, and increasing operational costs that threaten his business. He recently submitted a Legacy Business application to reflect his longstanding presence along Broad Street, but without community support, his business may not survive.
Your donation will support financial stability, rent and equipment, and - hopefully - realization of building the barber college. Thank you for your support!
