Keep Kogan Self Defense Open

My dad Mikhail Kogan has been an instructor of Martial Arts in the USA since 1990, and 10 years ago he was able to pursue his life-long dream to open a school and empower students with karate and self-defense. Kogan Self-Defense is not just a gym, it is “an academy of higher learning and standards”. Mikhail and his instructors teach students to gain control, body awareness, confidence, and many more skills to empower them in life.

With the pandemic we are currently facing, my dad has no choice but to close his school doors to the public. Unfortunately, expenses are rising, the rent is still due, and he is faced with the possibility of closing his doors forever. The landlord is not willing to temporarily suspend rent during this time, so any donations raised will go to the monthly cost for the space for 3 months. The school is not just a business for him, it is his life passion.

I am asking for help during this time to keep his dojo open and his dream alive, so when we can return from this that he may continue teaching what I believe to be the most important life skills. Mikhail has been incredibly thankful for the continued support through the years from all his students, as they are the reason for his passion to thrive.
