Keep Kirk Strong

I'm writing on behalf of my brother, Kirk Rose.  In May of this year, after a bout of what was thought to be only diverticulitis, Kirk was diagnosed with colorectal cancer, which had metastasized to his liver, suddenly making him a Stage IV cancer patient.  It’s hard to describe the emotional turmoil those shocking words create.  He learned treatment would be extremely aggressive and was placed on medical leave from his job.

After five rounds of chemo followed by 30 straight days of simultaneous chemo and radiation, the tumors shrunk enough for surgery.  The first surgery for removal of the liver tumor was last week, and it was successful.  Kirk is doing his best to stay strong both physically and emotionally for the second surgery, which will be next month for removal of the colorectal tumor. 

This is a request for help with his financial obligations, which have begun to pile up.  It’s heartbreaking to know on top of fighting for his life, he is worried about how to make ends meet. 

Kirk’s amazingly positive attitude despite experiencing severe side effects and lack of sleep keeps him from giving up and giving in to cancer.  He has been so brave throughout this ordeal, but courage will not pay the bills. 

Please help him get through this tough time.  I truly believe your assistance will not only ease his financial worry, it will also lift his spirits and bring the strength he needs to continue battling this horrible disease
