Keep Kiera in Veterinary School!
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Kiera, and I’m a second-year veterinary student working tirelessly to achieve my lifelong dream of becoming a veterinarian. I have overcome so many challenges to get here, and I’m determined to make a difference.
Unfortunately, I am facing severe financial difficulties that may force me to drop out. I rely solely on FAFSA loans, which are not enough to cover my living expenses. With the intensity of my studies, working enough hours to make ends meet is unsustainable. Despite my best efforts to find additional funding, I am at a breaking point.
Becoming a veterinarian is more than just a career goal for me—it’s about breaking barriers. Only 2.2% of veterinarians in the U.S. are Black, and I am determined to be part of that small but growing number. Representation in veterinary medicine matters, and I want to inspire and mentor future Black veterinarians while providing compassionate care to animals in need.
I am reaching out for help because I refuse to give up on my dream. Your support—whether big or small—would go directly toward my tuition, rent, food, and essential living costs so I can stay in school and continue my journey.
If you can’t donate, sharing this with others would mean the world to me. Thank you for believing in me and helping me keep my dream alive!
