Keep Keelo hopping!

Hi. I'm Bev. And I'm fundraising for my best friend, keelo. Keelo has been in my life for 7 years and has been my light and companion through some horrible depression. Indeed, he had been the reason on a few occasions for me not taking my own life. He's asked for nothing in return except good food, long walks and belly rubs. I owe it to Keelo to help him have as long a life as possible whilst he's still healthy and enjoying himself.

Keelo's problem is a long and complicated story, so I'll give you the short version. I am raising funds in order for keelo to have his right rear leg amputated. Keelo has lost most of the muscle and feeling in his leg and recently has been chewing at his paw. Due to not feeling it, he has now chewed through the bone and without antibiotics it will cause sepsis and he will die. So, we need to have the operation as soon as possible. I was offered the choice of having keelo put down as the vet isn't sure that his left leg will be strong enough to deal with the amputation but we won't know for sure unless we try. Keelo is a healthy, happy dog. He eats well, loves chasing birds! Enjoys company and cuddles and I can't justify putting him to sleep when there is a chance that he could have another year or more perfectly happy with three legs. There are also wheelchair options for hind legs, though I'm sure keelo will prove people wrong and his left leg is going to be super strong.

So here I am, on behalf of keelo, asking for whatever small donation you can make in order to get this operation. Of course I am doing my best to get the funds together but time is against me. Please, I know things are tough, but if you are able to make the littlest donation, it will be appreciated so much.
