Hi, my name is Katelyn and I was recently put in a dire financial situation by my husband. Long story short, we moved to Los Angeles from Florida in February 2025, and by July he had left the state and started an affair with my brother's wife. We had a shared account where he would pay the rent on our lease, and on Christmas day he deducted thousands of dollars from the account to spite me and create a situation where I cannot pay the rent here. The trauma of this situation cannot be overstated.

I am not the kind of person to ask for help, but several people told me to try this and I am not in a place to refuse help if offered. Any money received through this will go towards paying my rent to prevent getting evicted, and paying for legal fees for the divorce, and hopefully get the money back that he effectively stole out of the account. I also will need to move to a cheaper apartment as soon as possible so I can afford to continue living in LA after a cross-country move, and moving is in itself an expensive endeavor.

If you don't know me, I am an improviser and performer that came out here to do that. I would love to focus on just creating funny things, but needing to make rent and keep myself and my cats off the streets has become the primary focus. (I do have a real normal person full-time job btw, it just doesn't pay enough to cover this situation).
