Keep Karli, Chris, and Kali in Their Home

Hi everyone. My name is Karli. My husband's name is Chris. He and I recently had a baby girl named Kali 5 months ago. She's the best thing that's ever happened to us. I was working at Bagel Pantry in South Plainfield up until I was 7 months pregnant. My husband was working at Amazon. I went on maternity leave, and then my husband went out on medical leave due to a lot of medical issues he was having and a surgery that he needed. After I gave birth in June, my husband had his surgery. Needless to say, the first 2 months of being new parents were very hectic and crazy.
Unfortunately, after my husband recovered from his surgery, he didn't have a job anymore at Amazon, and I didn't have a job anymore at Bagel Pantry. The owner hired too many people when I was out, and he didn't have room for me to come back. We have both been unemployed and actively looking for work since August. Countless applications have been filled out, and numerous interviews have been held. I finally got hired at ShopRite last week working part-time, and my husband continues the search, going to at least 2 interviews a week. Considering we both haven't worked for a couple of months, bills and rent have piled up. We are currently 3 months behind on rent. The total is $3,650. We have also just received court papers from our landlord to go to court so he can regain the apartment and evict us. Our court date should be in the mail next week.
Having a 5-month-old baby, 2 cats, and a 2-bedroom apartment full of our stuff, we are extremely scared and worried about what is going to happen if we wind up in court. For people who say it takes a long time to get evicted and that they can't evict people with a baby, we live in East Orange in Essex County, and they work very fast over here, and having a baby simply does not matter to them. We have 8 days until after the apartment is given back to the landlord to get out, or they will come and lock us out. We are asking for any donation, big or small, so we can continue to make payments to the rent and hopefully pay all of the back rent so we don't get evicted. I have called numerous Essex County Catholic charities, and they are currently all out of funding. For anyone who would like proof that this is actually true, feel free to message me, and I will send you a picture of our balance we owe and of the court papers. As I stated before, I only work part-time, so my weekly checks are about $250-$300. The majority of my checks will be going to the back rent as well, but I also still need money to take care of me and my family during the week. Any donation, big or small, will be greatly appreciated. Thank you, everyone, for reading this, and thank you all for your donations in advance.
