Last week, Kaitlyn had been admitted to the hospital for a shortened cervix, after a couple days of observation she was discharged. On Tuesday she was readmitted for an even shorter cervix. Wednesday night at 10pm Kaitlyns water broke. Kaitlyn spiked a significant fever and had a spike in heart rate. Due to the signs of infection Kaitlyn had an emergency C section at just 24 weeks and 1 day gestation. These babies are fighting! Matt is the primary income source and will have to return to work Monday because bills at home do not stop. This is less than 1 week after Kaitlyn delivered very premature. On top of bills at home Kaitlyn will be discharged from the hospital soon and they live an hour and a half away from the NICU where the babies will be for months. We would like to raise this money for a hotel room so Kaitlyn can be close to her babies and to help with bills at home so hopefully Matt can also be close to the babies and be there for Kaitlyn.
