Hello everyone, I am Justin Brookshire. I was paralyzed in an automobile accident 15 years ago. Being who I am I refused to let that slow me down. In that 15 years I've been fortunate to see many places, do many adventurous activities, and have met some amazing people. There hasn't been an obstacle I couldn't overcome.
Keeping my active lifestyle has put quite a load on my shoulders. I was recently diagnosed with moderate arthritis in my shoulders. I have been told I am going to need to lighten the load on my shoulders. This means doing less activity, or switching to an electric chair. Switching to an electric chair would be a significant undertaking as it would require a new vehicle to transport my chair and many home renovations, or a new place able to handle a bulky electric chair.
Luckily I found a device that can give me the range of an electric chair, but still give me the mobility that I need from a manual wheelchair. The issue is medicare will not help me get this device. That brings us here. Those who know me, know I am not one to ask for help, but I am at the age old rock and hard spot.
The amount I am asking for is for the cost of the electric attachment, shipping, and fees. Once the goal is reached I will post a video of everything up and working so you can see where your hard earned money went. Thank you to anyone that is reading this. Any and every little bit helps.
