Hey y’all—
My name’s Joshua, and I live at the foot of Copper Mountain in Joshua Tree, California. Out here, I’m doing everything I can to stay rooted and creative through harsh times: making hand-cut collage art, starting a native plant nursery, building desert arrangements, and salvaging what beauty I can from the dry land around me.

But right now, I’m in dire straits.
It’s been a rough stretch lately—my truck had a series of problems that left me stranded out here in the desert for three weeks. Getting it back on the road cost me a small fortune, and it hit hard. Out here, a truck isn’t a luxury—it’s survival. Between the repairs and the time without wheels, I’ve been struggling to get back on top. Every bit of help right now makes a real difference.
The desert heat is relentless. Money’s run dry. I’m working every day to keep my plants alive, my art going, and myself afloat—but it’s a hard, lonely grind.

This GoFundMe is for anyone who knows me, loves what I do, or believes in the kind of work that grows slow, honest, and a little bit wild.

Where your help goes:
• Basic survival needs: food, gas, repairs
• Supplies for my native Mojave plant nursery—pots, soil, cactus mix, propagation trays
• Materials for my collage art—mounting boards, glue, photography, and prints
• Tools and found materials for desert arrangements and installations

I’m not asking for a handout—I’m asking for a hand up. I want to keep doing the things that make this hard life beautiful: growing native plants from seed, building dusty, strange art, and sharing it all with the folks who get it.

If you’ve ever laughed with me, been inspired by something I made, or just believe in scrappy desert creativity, I’d be grateful for any help you can give.

Whether it’s $5 or $50—or just sharing this with someone who might care—it all helps me keep going.
With love and grit from the Mojave,
–Joshua
Bonus material: like a director’s cut, but with more cactus, more glochids
