Hello, my name is Josh, and I’m reaching out during one of the hardest times in my life. I was recently wrongfully terminated from my job and unjustly stripped of the paid time off I had earned. With no severance and no savings to fall back on, I’m now left to face rent, car payments, electricity, internet, and phone bills — all on my own.

I was fortunate enough to be approved for CalFresh, so I have food for myself — but I’m also supporting my partner, who’s actively looking for work but hasn’t had any luck yet, and our beloved pets who still need food, litter, and care despite rising costs.

I’m doing everything I can to find new work, but as anyone in this situation knows, it takes time — and time is something I’m running out of. I never thought I’d be in a place where I’d have to ask for help, but here I am, humbly doing just that.
