Our friend José needs our help urgently! José Eduardo Ojeda-Lopez, beloved brother, son, and longtime member of the Indianapolis restaurant community is currently being detained by ICE and is in immediate danger of deportation. José has spent the last sixteen years in the United States obtaining his education and later going on to build a career in the culinary arts. He is hardworking, kind, and well known among friends and family for bringing joy to everyone around him. We are asking for donations from the community that loves him in order to keep him safe and here at home in Indiana. 



Funds will be used to pay a lawyer specializing in immigration to represent José in his upcoming hearings and for court fees. Every little bit counts so please don’t shy away from making a donation no matter how small.

This fundraiser was started by José’s partner, Rachael Bell from Indianapolis, IN. His mother will be the beneficiary and funds will be withdrawn by her directly to pay for José’s lawyer and court fees.
