Keeping Joe McClellan's Dream Alive

My name is Katelyn McClellan, I am the middle daughter of Joe and Sylvia McClellan. For the last 30 years my dad has been working to fulfill his dream career of being a dairy farmer. He grew up milking with his dad, and even paid his way through college milking. All funding for this career has come from the farm itself. He has never asked for help, this is me asking for help for him.
Throughout the years my dad has taken time away from farming to care for family and friends. Dad has been laughed at several times due to still milking or milking at odd times. What they didn't realize is that he changed milking schedules where he would be up at 2 am milking just so he could make it to school activities. He would milk cows so that me and my sisters could have fun showing cattle all summer long.
The last few years has been rough, and have put a lot of bumps in the road. Family sicknesses have occurred, machinery has started showing it age, the barn has been the same for the last 30 years, their truck is on it last leg, and so much more. This money is going towards helping to make improvements so that we can make it through the winter.
Our dairy farm is one of three remaining dairy farms in Howell County. My Dad's love for the industry can be seen through his family, farm and the community. Please help him to be able to continue his dream a little bit longer.
