In the spirit of shared humanity during this time of crisis, I’m reaching out to ask for your help. Our dear friend and colleague - but also activist, anti-racist, mama bear, empower-er, social justice warrior, research queen - Jodi Scofield, may not be able to continue with her Master of Social Welfare at UCLA. Despite working a research job while attending school and being a full-time Mom, paired with her partner’s income in the service industry, Jodi’s burdened by a $9000 medical debt. The personal is political folks! This debt has screwed Jodi’s credit due to going to collections, and now Jodi is being denied her loans. On top of this, Corona is hitting the service industry hard, so Jodi’s loans are what will literally keep this family in their home, fed, and alive.


Please help with whatever you can to keep Jodi in her MSW program, and her family on their feet. The social work field, her family, and the world needs her strong for the fight.
