Hello Friends! My friend Jessica R. does not know Georgie and Sally are doing this for her, and she would never ask, but she is worth saving!
This hard-working, fiercely independent, 22-year-old LGBTQI woman lost her ability to maintain her income because her only form of transportation (Moped) is broken and may even be irreparable.
Dear Friends and LGBTQI Supporters,
LET’S HELP JESSICA R. KEEP HER INDEPENDENCE AND NOT BECOME HOMELESS!
Sally and I met this bright, shy, 22-year-old on NextDoor and hired her to assist with our IT
woes. She brilliantly and sweetly saved these two old Lesbians from web-hell!
With a little prodding (those who know me are rolling their eyes about now) she freely shared about being on her own since she was a young teenager, and how she has managed to rent the same OKC house for several years by working and repeatedly recruiting endless roommates.
She has worked at a local family entertainment center for many years and has recently started DoorDashing for extra funds. She proudly drives that little Moped in rain, sleet, and snow as if it were her Mercedes!
No real family support, and being a young, shy transsexual, she is wary of being a burden on anyone. As a result, she has become fiercely independent.
Always a smile on her sweet face and NEVER a poor-me story, or how nothing works out for her. Instead, she talked about how much she liked her customers and co-workers and asked us about us!! What young people do that these days?!
We were both super impressed with this young woman and her positive approach to life, and in awe that she never mentioned the cruel Oklahoma public that we know she has undoubtedly encountered.
Jessica R. needs us!!
Just today, April 28, 2025, I saw her recent posts on the NextDoor App, from her Old Military Park neighborhood, and I realized her beloved Moped is dead, she has no transportation to work or DoorDash, and she must make rent by May 1 OR RISK LOSING EVERYTHING SHE HAS WORKED FOR IN HER SHORT LIFE.
She DID NOT post asking for handouts, but rather listing creative ways she could work to raise the funds, while apologizing she has no transportation.
FRIENDS AND LGBTQI SUPPORTERS, let’s turn this courageous girl's luck around! Let’s show her that in this current hateful environment we see a sweet, scrappy, young woman, living her authentic life, while struggling to make ends meet and TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE HER LIFE A BIT EASIER!
MY HOPE IS WE CAN AT LEAST MAKE HER $1,000 RENT, ASAP, to keep her housed.
But then she needs a new or repaired MOPED to keep her independence.
TOGETHER LET’S SHOW JESSICA R. THE SUPPORTIVE LOVE THAT SHE DESERVES!
Please donate what you can. Spread the word, and show Jessica how much her community can love!
Please join us,
Georgie and Sally
