Whelp... I'm back...
People were asking when I was going to do another one of these... well... I've been good about managing storage (switching to h265 encoding for episodes of shows whenever possible is helpful... and if you don't know what that means, well, that's why you have me, don't you?) and really wanted to try to wait until this time of year to take advantage of Black Friday deals.
Here's what I hope to achieve with the minimum goal:
- Expand storage by 20TB on the primary server
- Add a USB hub to the machine, aka 'Darkstar', in order to have a place to plug all these drives into and ensure fast read speeds
Anything beyond the minimum goal will go towards the following:
- Expand redundant file storage on the backup machine, aka 'Holocron'
- Monthly fees for Plex Pass
- I don't know, my internet bill?
- Rum for Mai Tai's so I have something to sip on while I download stuff?
