LaRose Jazz Club (Keep Jazz in Germantown)
Donation protected
LaRose Jazz Club and Catering located at 5531 Germantown Ave for 20 years and counting was started by Dr. Chenet Larose’s dream to open a community focused entertainment venue. To many of the LaRose Jazz Club customers the venue is like a second home, when you are part of the LaRose Jazz Club scene, you’re part of a family.
The Legendary alto saxophonist Tony Williams and the Tony Williams Jazz Quartet have been "keeping Jazz alive" at Larose Jazz Club on Monday nights for the past 16 years.
Tony Williams has a passion for "keeping Jazz alive" and represents "The sound of Philadelphia", he is a true educator as well as an extraordinary musician. Tony taught in the Philadelphia School system for over 25 years, he found a way to teach, coach and perform music professionally and give back to the community. Tony Williams and the Tony Williams Quartet are what have molded Monday nights at LaRose Jazz Club and helped make our customers become a family. Good music and friends are the atmosphere at LaRose Jazz Club.
We are asking for help from “You” our family, the community, we have started this Go Fund Me campaign because we need help during COVID-19, to allow LaRose Jazz restaurant to stay open. We intend to use the money raised from this campaign for staffing, upkeep of the venue, supporting artists, continuing the legacy… Any and all help is appreciated we are grateful for community support.

When we speak of Legacy- We speak of keeping jazz alive in Germantown, Philadelphia. We think about all the lives the music influences- having a Jazz Spot where you are welcomed and able to perform- we can’t let that disappear.
Have you heard of Jazz Do you know the history and legacy of Jazz Check it out

Remembering Musicians who have passed away
During our campaign we want to remember, Bootsie Barnes, Frank Bey and Freddie Cole, who we have recently passed away, during these tough times. We appreciated their support and their performances at LaRose Jazz Club.
Thank you for your help.
