Hello, and thanks for clicking. As the first batch of you who sees this will know, I moved to Seattle in 2024, starting from a layoff in Texas, struggling to find work, couchsurfing and car-dwelling my way across the country before finding the place I truly want to stay and succesfully re-establishing my life. Though I wouldn't trade this experience now, I also don't want to repeat it, and that brings us to today.
I'm unfortunately having to look for work again, this time in a worse market than before, and though I'm making some headway, it's not enough to keep up with bills yet. (I also broke my ankle a little bit at my most recent gig, which limits what I can do for the next several weeks.) I have minimal expenses, but the most important is rent. I am currently two months ($2400) behind, with a third coming up soon. I have a good relationship with my landlord, but there's only so much slack they can give me, and at minimum I need to be able to pay off December ($1200) by the end of January. Donations, shares, referrals, opportunities - I'll take whatever you've got, and hopefully be back on my feet soon.
