Hello! My name is Jade Dwyer, and I’m an international student from Kingston, Jamaica currently pursuing my degree at Howard University. I am passionate Political Science major and Strategic, Legal, and Mass Communications minor, that has occupied many campus roles such Freshman Member-at-Large for HUSA Senate and Student Ambassador for The Center of Women, Gender and Global Leadership, among many others.
Attending Howard University has been my childhood dream, ever since the 2016 Convocation, and having being blessed with the opportunity to attend this prestigious institution, I have truly able forge lifelong relationships, develop my leadership skills and garner a multifaceted college experience. Unfortunately, I am currently facing a financial hurdle that threatens my ability to continue my education at my dream school. I have an outstanding balance of $9,340 on my student account (BisonHub), and as an international student, I have no access to federal aid or flexible financial resources in the U.S.
This balance must be cleared in order for me to get on-campus housing (which is the my only housing option), register for classes, get on-campus access campus resources, and continue on my academic journey at Howard. Every dollar brings me one step closer to staying enrolled and pursuing my dreams.
I am working diligently to secure outside scholarships and personal loans, but I need your help to bridge this urgent financial gap. Any contribution—no matter how small—would mean the world to me.
If you’re unable to give at this time, please share this campaign with your family, friends network. Your support, prayers, and kindness are truly appreciated.
Thank you so much for believing in me and helping me stay on the path toward truly achieving my dreams.
