We know this isn’t the usual kind of ask. It’s not an emergency vet bill or a dramatic rescue. But it is urgent — because Hudson’s future depends on it.

Hudson is a sweet, smart, and resilient pup currently being fostered through Dekalb County Animal Services, a county shelter in crisis. With over 500 dogs in a facility built to house half that number, it’s an overcrowded and stressful place no dog should have to return to.

Thankfully, Hudson is one of the lucky ones. He’s been living in a quiet, structured foster home where he’s thriving — decompressing, building confidence, and showing off all he’s learned through recent training. He’s on track for adoption and has become the kind of dog anyone would be lucky to call family.

But Hudson’s stability is at risk.

His dedicated foster — who has given him 24/7 love and guidance — has a few travel commitments over the coming months, totaling about five weeks (in short stints). During those times, Hudson needs a safe place to stay.

We have the perfect solution: a trusted in-home boarder who is also a trainer, committed to maintaining his progress and even taking him out to socialize. But this care comes at a cost.

To avoid sending Hudson back into the shelter for any amount of time during his foster's travel, we need to raise $900 to cover his boarding during these times.

Doggie Harmony, the small volunteer nonprofit supporting Hudson, is doing everything we can — but we can't fund this alone.
